Scroll saw restoration
So I recently became the owner of a 30s-40s scroll saw. It is one of 5 that I know of in existence. I had been looking for one for a while and when this one came up for sale, complete and original and at a great price, I knew I had to jump at it. The only problem is that it is in desperate need of restoration. Lots of rust everywhere and lots of old dust and gunk making everything very difficult to move.

Here is a pic of where I am at now. I have the machine totally disassembled. The main casting is in the electrolysis tank. This is a method to reverse the rusting process on the cast iron. I will put the legs and the table in the tank after this. Once they are out of the tank they will be ready to paint!
I will post more pics and updates as progress is made!
